Abstract

This article seeks to show the role of the organizations that make up the third sector that have been participating in comprehensive disaster risk management, and whose efforts have been making it possible to contribute to the implementation of the Peruvian national system at subnational levels with a participatory proposal that allows linking exposed populations, authorities and officials at local levels in order to achieve the generation of joint activities that respond to their territorial realities, these civil society operators are regional instances of the third sector that work in Disaster Risk Management, These participation mechanisms have been taking place and have been having different results. The objective was to know the action models of third sector organizations at local levels and the integration of their results in the strategic activities of comprehensive disaster risk management. The qualitative, basic research allowed us to work on four regional third sector instances. Among the conclusions we have the relevance of the efforts obtained by the regional instances of the third sector that have allowed integrating their results into the strategic actions of their subnational governments, which respond to their territorial reality and are based on practical technical evidence. with which they will allow improvements in the implementation of comprehensive risk management with multisectoral participation approaches. key words: Third sector, disaster risk, comprehensive risk management
